ITU TRNC Education and Research Campuses appears on YÖDAK’s current list. The official FAQ describes a structure academically and administratively connected to Istanbul Technical University and gives a Famagusta campus location.
Check where the programme is taught
The same official FAQ says that, under a February 2025 university decision, students placed into several named programmes for 2026–27 will continue their four-year undergraduate education at ITU’s Istanbul campuses. This is exactly why applicants should not infer the teaching location from the institution’s name.
Ask for a programme-specific document showing the admission route, preparation location, each year of teaching, tuition, accommodation, and final award. Maritime routes may also carry medical or professional conditions.
Tuition and admission
Use the official notice for your citizenship and admission route. Turkish YKS placement, international admission and other routes may not share the same fee or scholarship structure. Request a dated invoice only after confirming where the full programme is delivered.
Honest verdict
ITU’s academic relationship is a material feature, but the practical student experience can involve North Cyprus, Istanbul, or both depending on the current programme rule. Treat location as a contract term, not a marketing detail.
