Who we are
Yuzu Cyprus is run from Cyprus, not from a call center abroad. We visit the campuses we write about, we know what a room in Famagusta actually rents for, and we hear first-hand what arriving students wish someone had told them. Yuzu also runs a relocation platform for Japan — helping people move somewhere new, honestly, is what we do.
How we make money (read this part)
Universities pay official representatives a commission when a student enrolls. That's how we're paid, and it's the industry standard — which means no honest representative ever needs to charge a student. If you take one thing from this site: never pay an agent an application fee, a "scholarship fee," or a deposit for housing you haven't verified. Here's the full list of scams we see.
What makes us different
- We publish the real numbers — costs after the automatic discount, including the fees nobody mentions.
- We tell students not to come when the budget doesn't close or the goal doesn't match. A bad-fit student helps nobody, including us.
- We're on the island — we can physically check a flat, a dorm, or a claim before you pay for it.
