Nigerian applicants should use a document-first process: verify the institution, submit genuine WAEC or NECO results, obtain a programme-level decision, confirm recognition for the intended career and pay only the university.
WAEC and NECO are reviewed by programme
There is no safe universal claim that “five credits” guarantee every North Cyprus degree. Ask the university which subjects, grades, sitting combinations and English evidence your exact programme requires. Medicine, pharmacy, engineering and other technical fields may require specific science or mathematics results.
Universities can verify results through the official WAEC or NECO services. Do not alter a certificate or pay anyone to “upgrade” a grade. A false result can invalidate an offer after tuition and travel have already been paid.

Check recognition for your goal
YÖDAK’s current list confirms local institutional status. Nigerian employers, universities and professional councils may apply their own requirements. For medicine, nursing, engineering, law or another regulated profession, contact the responsible Nigerian body about the exact university and programme before enrolment.
For general employment or postgraduate study, ask the receiving employer or university what evaluation it requires. Do not accept “recognised worldwide” as an answer.
Pay from a verified invoice
Nigeria’s Central Bank published a fourth-edition Foreign Exchange Manual in 2026. Your bank remains responsible for its current education-payment process, documents, availability and compliance checks.
Obtain a personal university invoice and confirm the institutional beneficiary with the finance office. Ask your bank which Form A or other authorised process applies. Keep the application reference, bank debit, SWIFT trace and university receipt.

Budget and travel
Price the full programme in the university’s currency and also in naira using a dated rate. Add housing, travel, residence, health, insurance and a reserve. Do not fund the plan with a promised local job.
