For Iraqi applicants, an admission offer is only one part of the decision. Check the secondary certificate, exact programme, Iraqi recognition route, total cost and travel conditions as separate items.
Ask for programme-level academic review
Submit the genuine Iraqi secondary certificate or prior degree, transcript, passport and any required translations. Ask the university to state which programme and intake it has approved, the teaching language, preparation requirement and normal duration.
General admission does not guarantee entry to medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering or another regulated field. Subject and grade requirements can differ. Keep the university’s written academic decision.
Check recognition in Iraq first
Use the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the current treatment of study abroad. Ask about the exact university, campus, programme, study mode and intended enrolment date. Government employment, postgraduate study and professional licensing may involve different checks.
Do not rely on an old list screenshot or another graduate’s result. Recognition frameworks can change and an individual evaluation may depend on details that look minor in marketing material.

Verify every payment
Obtain a personal invoice showing tuition after scholarship, mandatory fees, payment dates, refund terms and the university’s beneficiary. Find the finance contact independently and confirm the account.
If a family uses a bank, regulated exchange route or relative abroad, the final destination should remain the verified institutional account and the source of funds should be lawful and documented. A personal account or “special rate” intermediary is not made safe by urgency.
After transfer, keep the bank trace and ask the university to show the payment on the student account.
Plan the full budget and route
Add housing, deposit, travel, residence, health, insurance, registration and possible preparation. Do not depend on an unconfirmed part-time job. The monthly budget method helps families price current local evidence.
