Iranian students need a programme plan and a lawful payment plan before accepting an offer. Banking restrictions can change which transfer route is available, while Iranian evaluation rules differ between medical and non-medical study.
Verify the academic offer
Send the university your original secondary or prior-degree documents with the translations and attestations it requests. Ask for a written decision that names the programme, campus, teaching language, start date, normal duration and any English preparation.
Do not accept a broad promise that a diploma automatically qualifies for every programme. The university controls admission; another authority controls how the finished qualification is used later.
Ask the correct Iranian authority
For non-medical higher education, start with Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. For medicine and other health fields, use the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. Ask about the exact institution, programme, campus, enrolment date and study mode.
Lists and evaluation rules can change. Save the current official page or written response with its date. YÖDAK listing verifies current North Cyprus institutional status, not the separate Iranian evaluation.
Use only a lawful, documented payment route
Do not let an adviser improvise around sanctions or bank controls. Ask the university finance office which lawful channels it currently accepts for Iranian students and obtain the instruction through an official domain. Then ask your bank or regulated provider what documentation and restrictions apply.
The beneficiary, currency and student reference should match the university invoice. Do not send tuition to a personal account, crypto wallet or unexplained intermediary. Preserve the invoice, transfer trace and the university’s receipt.
If the university cannot receive a lawful transfer, that is a planning constraint—not a reason to hide the source or destination of funds.
Budget beyond tuition
Add housing, deposit, travel through Türkiye, registration, residence, health, insurance and possible English preparation. Model the full degree and exchange-rate movement. Student work is regulated and should not be treated as guaranteed funding.
Check travel separately
Flights to Ercan connect through Türkiye. The Turkish rule depends on passport and itinerary. A self-transfer or airport change may require entry even when a protected airside connection does not. Confirm with the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and airline before booking.
