Egyptian applicants should separate four questions: whether a university will review the school certificate, whether the exact programme is open, whether Egypt will evaluate the completed degree, and whether the family can fund the full study period.
Admission is a university decision
Submit an unaltered Thanaweya Amma certificate and any translations or attestations the university currently requests. Ask for a written academic review for the exact programme. Medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering and other regulated fields may have subject or grade requirements beyond general institutional admission.
Do not treat “Thanaweya Amma accepted” as a guarantee for every department. Confirm teaching language, English assessment, preparation, normal duration and the award title before paying.
Check Egyptian equivalency before enrolment
Egypt’s Supreme Council of Universities says its Equivalency Committee handles the evaluation of foreign academic degrees. Its official guidance separates professional and academic fields and describes document requirements.
Ask the SCU how it would assess the exact institution, campus, programme, study mode and degree. For a licensed profession, contact the relevant Egyptian professional or health authority as a separate step. A university appearing on YÖDAK’s North Cyprus list confirms local listing; it does not pre-decide the Egyptian outcome.
Build the budget from documents
Request a current personal invoice showing tuition after scholarship, mandatory charges, English preparation, payment dates and refunds. Add housing from a real dormitory offer or lease, not an old online average. Use the 2026 cost method to model the full programme and an adverse exchange-rate scenario.
Pay only an institutional account independently confirmed by the finance office. Preserve the invoice, bank trace and university receipt.
Plan the Türkiye connection
Ercan flights operate via Türkiye. Check the Turkish visa rule for your passport and itinerary. A protected airside connection differs from separate tickets, baggage collection or an airport change. Confirm the route with the operating airline and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Carry admission, accommodation, funds and university contact evidence offline. Entry remains a border decision.

- Ask the Egyptian authority about equivalency or professional use.
- Obtain a personal invoice and refund terms.
- Verify the payment account.
- Check transit, entry and residence steps.
